Ohio County Equestrian,
Inc. provides a venue for therapeutic
horseback riding for children and adults
who are physically or mentally
challenged. The program has proven
highly successful in helping people with
a wide range of disabilities to achieve
therapeutic goals, and has brought
happiness to children and adults in
surrounding counties since 1998. We are
an independent, non-affiliated riding
center.
Horseback riding for the physically and
mentally challenged is recognized as one
of the more progressive forms of
therapy. The ability to control a horse
as well as one's own body inspires
self-confidence, responsibility, and
teamwork. Best of all it is a thoroughly
enjoyable experience, which creates a
special relationship between rider and
horse and is a sport that can be enjoyed
by even severely challenged riders.
We are located in Beaver Dam,
Kentucky and serve individuals throughout
Western Kentucky and Southern Indiana. If
you are interested in information on
